It has indeed been a disappointment to have our gym in Defence Colony sealed by the MCD. I'm sure other members share with me in expressing our wonderful experiences, while the gym was operational. Not only imparting professional health training, the atmosphere at the gym did mold an individual…to face life head-on !
I hope we can have our gym open and running in the near future…so we may have another opportunity to build upon our meaningful past.

Neeraj is a natural teacher, a great mentor, a natural communicator across social classes and an exceptional human being.
I trained at Neeraj's gym Healthline in Delhi for three, maybe four years before moving to Singapore. Despite many opportunities to move to gyms with superior facilities... I remained at Healthline primarily as a result of Neeraj's dedication to a personalised training approach... And the great air of friendship between the trainers and regular members.
Neeraj taught me "strength and lifting technique" - the intricacies of breathing the right way, correct lifting posture and speed. He also had very sound diet and rest advice... A refreshing change from the stereotype of the 'steroid pushing Indian bodybuilding coach'.
Day after day... He'd direct every set... Every movement... He knew when to come and stand nearby (when one was striving to achieve a personal best)... He knew that by occasionally training in public... He would give us an understanding of the mental focus and discipline needed to raise one's fitness bar.
Today when I train in Singapore... Not a day goes by without a mental 'thank you' to Neeraj... For helping me create a physical and mental foundation of strength and discipline.
I think the best facet of Neeraj's abilities as a fitness trainer – lie in his ability to communicate and connect with people across the widest range of socio- economic classes in India. As a result of this... Our gym had a truly diverse membership profile... Stretching across class, education, occupation and income levels. The most fabulous aspect of it all was that...in the gym – we were all friends – and we were all brought together by Neeraj and Mandeep.
I remember that the gym's camaraderie and bonding reached their peak... When he was able to organise an internal strength competition at Healthline. It was a great fun event and the number of participants was a testament to Neeraj's ability to motivate his members.
I'll end by saying that for those of us fortunate enough to have trained with Neeraj... He will always be a friend and mentor more than just a personal trainer..
